Jesus chose to be born
in a family. A follower of Jesus then must uphold family values. Any Christian
organization who causes disintegration of families is no Christian at all. Communities sometimes fall into the trap of
“service”, its leaders always doing service without looking at the welfare of
there own respective families. True service brings us back to our families.
A community whose
service causes family disintegration must look seriously to its formation and
cycle of activities. Does our activities
help bring family together? Does it leads to union?
“What good is it for
someone to gain the whole world, and yet lose or forfeit their very self?” Luke
9:25
What good is it for
someone to gain the whole world but losses their family in the end?
A community who values
and preach about family but could not provide an environment were its members
can actually grow in there relationship with there families is not being true
to itself.
