You can’t demand
obedience, you earn it. You might be able to make a subordinate work but
without giving him higher reason other than obedience, you will not get the
desired result. He will end up unhappy, unmotivated and passionless.
There is no joy in
demanded obedience. If a person is doing his work for the sake of obedience, he
can still fulfill what is required but it does not make him grow as a person. What
is work if it does not bring the human person to his highest potential and
bring him happiness?
Without joy, service fall
short of its purpose, because service should bring joy and fulfillment.
