If Somebody

If somebody lies to you, that person in a way is saying, “You are not worth my truth.” If somebody lies about you, that person is not worth your truth either. What should be our response? Our response is silence because nothing convinces a person whose perspective is already set. In the end lies evaporates and truth shines.

  1. Ahhh the proverbial silent treatment. If it affects the receiver in a good way, it'll give them time to pause and reflect. Other times, the silent treatment will make the receiver even more bothered by the lack of response and will try to engage you in further confrontation so they can put the blame back on you. Break the cycle. It's not worth it.

  2. Naalala ko itong post mo. I had a situation this week where someone lied to me. I asked my priest friend what I should do to get past it. He said to accept it kasi you can't change the fact that they lied. I had a hard time getting to acceptance so I prayed. I made a choice to be happy and let go of the things I can't control or change. By letting go, I'm at peace. As far as the other person, I also give them the silent treatment.
